Here’s another test shot from the new camera. Tom took the picture, and I “processed” it. I hope the subject doesn’t mind that we’re putting up the pic.

I finally got a digital SLR today, the new Canon 300D. I’ve wanted a digital reflex camera ever since I first heard the concept, so in a way I’ve waited about eight years for one of these things.

For those out there who know me but don’t know what I look like, here is my best view - my face obscured by a camera :)

Yes, we’re geeks.

We still get excited at visiting the studios and walking around the back lots where some of our favorite movies were made. Today we were at Paramount Studios. That’s Tom standing next to the watertank (it doubles as a parking lot when not filled with water) used in Star Trek IV - The Voyage Home.

Hope I didn’t scare ya. Yeah, this is the first photo entered into the photo category here. Actually, we’re thinking of starting our own little photo journal, seperate but connected to this journal.

Anyway, this a’here snowman was a gift from Tom and Katharine two Christmases ago, and I keep him on top of a monitor, because every time I look at him I crack up.
